creating a Design Thinking “House of Cards.”Response: For this project, I chose to create my deck of cards as nostalgic illustrations alluding to symbols found in original Brother’s Grimm and other classic fairytales-turned-Disney. I chose to do my four cards on four of the first Disney princess movies: Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and The Little Mermaid. Each card contains elements from the both the story’s original plotline and the Disney adaptations. As a result, I included time stamps of both the time the original fairytales were written and when they were adapted as a Disney movie. Each card includes excerpts from the actual text and symbols and colors from both the story and adaptation.
