Brand Identity and Style Guidelines

A brand identity and style guide creation for a fictional men’s formal wear company. Created in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop.

Objective: Using a randomly selected adjective and animal, create and design a comprehensive brand for a fictional company. All elements of the brand should be coherent and visually cohesive. Express these elements in a style guidebook illustrating how to correctly apply visual components of the brand to marketing materials with standards on usage of logos, colors, and typefaces.

Response: For this piece, I was given the adjective “dashing” and the animal “hamster” to work with. This meant that the company I would have to formulate was to be called “Dashing Hamster”. I chose to turn the Dashing Hamster into a men’s formal wear company directed at producing unique and quality formal wear to fit everyone in both size and style, enabling individuals to put their best foot forward. In using a minimalistic and clean approach, the brand identity of the company conveys a sense of elegance, sophistication, and quality that cannot be found in its competition.
